2023 UPDATE:

Congratulations! HR 23 Defund the IRS bill passed the House on 1/10/23. The bill cut spending by 90%, rescinding $71.6 billion of the $79.6 billion in additional funds appropriated for activities of the IRS under H.R. 5376, commonly called the “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022” (IRA). The funds that would be rescinded include all additional funds appropriated for enforcement activities. 

Hold the IRS accountable, reducing funding, and restrict increased financial surveillance. 

Call on Congress to prevent IRS targeting and weaponizing against middle class families.
