Carlo Maria Viganò, Archbishop, former Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America, has issued a letter to Catholics, and the faith community at large, compelling them to vote their values!
“In this election you must choose between two radically opposed ways of conceiving the government of your Nation: you are called to choose between democracy and dictatorship, between freedom and slavery.”

On the heels of headline reporting that roughly 104 million Christians nationwide are unlikely voters in this November election, the archbishop pleads his case and went as far as to instruct American Catholics on how to vote.
Meanwhile, conservative Rabbi’s and the Jewish community also jump in at the last hour to appeal to Jewish voters.
Adam Kwasman, head of the Arizona chapter of the Republican Jewish Coalition stated, “the Arizona Jewish population could very well be the deciding factor in how Arizona votes. Jewish voters in Arizona are extremely interested in policies towards Israel as well as this economy and what we are seeing is both a movement toward Donald Trump” as well as the refusal to vote for “an administration that votes for sanctions for Israel.”
“A vote is not a valentine,” he said. “It is an application of principles. When it comes to Israel and Jewish issues, I’m going with the candidate who visits the Ohel.”
As reported, one truth continues to break my heart: millions of Christians in this country don’t vote. I didn’t believe it at first, but when I heard President Trump say time and again, “We have to get the Christians to vote,” it started to sink in. If we don’t step up, evil prevails. I’ve met so many of you who love this country, but somehow this crucial step—voting—gets left out.
Statistics tell us that around 55 million Christians didn’t vote in the last election. How can that be? How can so many who profess faith in God choose to remain silent as our country groans under immoral leadership, skyrocketing crime, and threats to our very way of life? Proverbs 29:2 reminds us, “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.” America is groaning, and it’s because too many of us have abandoned our duty to elect righteous leaders who share our values, or at least those most closely aligned.
To my evangelical friends, who represent 12% of the country, or 41M, did you know that only 60%, or 24.6M, are registered to vote, and only 75%, or 18.5M, vote? That’s right, less than half of evangelicals vote.
To my Jewish friends, historically, seven out of ten lean toward the Left, and half describe their political views as liberal. Will you vote on the side of protecting the Jewish community both here at home and abroad in Israel in this critical season?
I have so much love and respect for my country and many friends of all religious and non-religious backgrounds and political affiliations. My friends overwhelmingly share my sentiments and are unapologetically patriotic. I pray they are willing to unite behind policies over parties to secure our future for many generations. Most of all, I pray they don’t stay home-that they vote their values at the ballot box.
